Juan Saiz. Santander, 1986. Comienza sus estudios musicales a los 10 años en el conservatorio Jesús de Monasterio de Santander en donde se forma en flauta travesera clásica junto a Jaime Salas y composición con Emilio Otero. Realiza los estudios superiores de jazz y música moderna entre la ESMUC de Barcelona y el Klask Koninklig Conservatorium de Gante, Bélgica. 

Ha recibido clases de reconocidos músicos del panorama internacional tanto en el ámbito del jazz como de la música clásica. Algunos como son David Liebman, Benny Green, Terell Stafford, Ron Blake, Jorge Pardo, Gary Willis, Mathias Zieggler, Julia Gallego, Bart Defoort, Pat Metheny, Agustí Fernández, Eladio Reinón, Carl Allen y un largo etcétera. 

La lista de artistas con los que ha colaborado es extensa: Iva Bittova, Baldo Martínez, Terry Day, Bart Maris entre otros. Ha compartido escenario con bandas como the Chieftains o Alan Stivel, tocando en festivales como el Festival de Jazz de San Sebastián, el Festival de Jazz de Vitoria, el Festival de Jazz de Madrid, el Qurtuba Jazz de Córdoba o el Barcelona Jazz Festival y en los principales auditorios del país como son Palacio de Festivales de Santander o el Auditorio central de Barcelona.

Cuenta con una discografía de 6 álbumes como líder de diferentes formaciones en los que ha explorado terrenos muy variados. El último de ellos publicado en 2022: Pindio II, Leo Records. La crítica siempre ha recibo con entusiasmo sus trabajos llegando a ser disco del mes por “Musica Jazz - The Italian Jazz Magazine”.
